TECHNOLOGy for HUMANITy And Peace.
House of PeaceTech is a platform for investors, startups, institutions, academia, government organisations, NGOs, and individuals who build or use technology to prevent, mitigate, or recover from conflict.
We are in an era of increased instability and geopolitical chaos, with billions funnelled into tech military capabilities.
Traditionally, peacebuilding and conflict resolution have been seen as a domain of nonprofits and governments, not a space for venture capital. But in 2023, the global cost of violent conflict was $19.1 trillion, 14% of global GDP. The war in Syria alone has resulted in over $1 trillion in economic losses and reconstruction needs. Solving even a fraction of this problem would be worth billions of dollars in 10 years, and tens of billions in 20 years.
PeaceTech is technology designed to prevent, mitigate, and recover from conflict. The technologies already exist. Conflict prevention platforms like VIEWS use AI to forecast political violence with growing accuracy. Satellites from firms like Lunasonde track water and resource scarcity, helping to predict climate-driven instability. AI-powered mediation tools, such as Project Didi, identify potential openings in peace negotiations.
During conflict, PeaceTech enhances humanitarian response. Tools like the Danish Refugee Council’s DEEP platform coordinate aid more efficiently, while blockchain-based identity verification improves access for displaced populations.
Stabilisation technologies are proving essential in post-conflict zones. Drone systems from Aerobotics7 detect landmines, while geospatial AI helps map and prioritise reconstruction efforts.
House of PeaceTech gathers all these initiatives, helps to facilitate connections, curates events, and publishes a bi-weekly newsletter on everything PeaceTech.
House of PeaceTech was founded by and is run by Ida Kymmer.
